Yesterday was another exciting day at Emmanuel. We started the service with a couple taking the step of believer's baptism! There is nothing better than seeing a family know the Lord, grow in Him, and to help them take a spiritual step together.
In the morning service, we celebrated marriage and concluded the service with couples gathering at the altar and exchanging vows of recommitment to each other. Marriage is a picture of the love relationship between Christ and His Church, so is it any wonder that Satan wants to destroy it. Marriage is under attack in the media, culture, and even in the political arena. So, in my "Back to Basics" series, today we went back to the beginning and looked at God's design (His blueprint) for marriage. Though the world may be redefining marriage, God's plan hasn't changed.
In the evening service, EBC hosted Garrett Graham for his debut concert to promote his new CD "Welcome Home." Garrett is a testimony of God's grace and has an absolutely amazing voice. He sang to a full house and we were truly blessed by a very worshipful concert.
